Responsibility

Responsibility and sustainability in the fashion industry is complex and ever-evolving. Rapid legislative changes and new certifications can be challenging, especially for smaller companies. We believe that common sense and a deep understanding of our impact is crucial.

While we recognize the need for ongoing improvement, we do not subscribe to the idea that the most sustainable approach to fashion is to cease production altogether. Instead, we believe that insight and respect are key to progressing sustainably. We strive to integrate these principles throughout our supply chain, doing our utmost to reduce our footprint and create responsibly.

Currently, we work exclusively with one trusted supplier in Italy — Filippo and his family — who have partnered with us for over 10 years. Our frequent visits to their facility allow us to learn and improve continually.

Nearness and locality are important to us, allowing us to be physically present at as many parts of our supply chain as possible. This proximity helps us understand and mitigate our impact on people, animals, and the environment.

We only work with Leather Working Group certified tanneries, committed to responsible leather production. This certification ensures that the leather we use meets both environmental and ethical standards. Our goal is to achieve 100% traceability for all leathers we source. While this is an ambitious task, it reflects our dedication to transparency and sustainability, and we are striving to make this a reality in the coming years.

NO END-OF-SEASON SALE POLICY

By 2024, we have implemented a no-end-of-season sale policy. It is quite simple; when having your products on sale by the end of each season, you support the idea of producing more than you can sell within a fixed seasonal timeframe, as well as catering a business of fast fashion with one collection making the previous less relevant.

We claim to have iconic products that deserves a long life. It is our foremost responsibility in the design process to continually challenge and evolve our classic pieces. By preserving traditional colors and leathers while occasionally introducing new ones, we ensure our iconic bags remain relevant and contemporary.
